사랑은.. 아이티 김혜련 선교현장 소식

길거리에서 방황하던 아이들을 데려다가 아가페 기숙학교에서 글 읽는것부터 가르치고 있는데, 10년만에 고등학교를 졸업하고, 직업교실까지 마치고, 또 일년간 저희 사역장에서 일하는 경험을 하게 한, 네명의 아들과 딸들을 주거지원비 및 생활지원비까지 함께 주어 독립시켰습니다.

엄마를 떠나 이제는 가야한다는 것을 알고도 사회가 무서운 아이들과, 보내야 한다는 걸 알고도 보내는게 너무 힘든 제가 졸업장을 주고 독립하는 행사를 치뤘습니다.

아이들이 저에게 개인적으로 “엄마 아니었으면 제 인생이 어땟을까요? 고마워요” 하며 인사를 보냈지만 제 마음은 여전히 짠합니다. 주님께서 이제는 이 아이들의 등불이 되주셔서 이 아이들이 잘 사회에 적응하고 주님께 의지하며 사는 법을 체득하게 되기를 기도합니다.

We took children wandering on the street, taught them at Agape boarding school, from how to read to high school, and finished job training. We also allowed them to work at our ministry for a year. These three boys and a girl have become independent, and we send them with housing and living costs for their independence.

I gave the diploma and held an event for the ceremony of independence. However, it was hard to let go of my children, even though I had to let them go.

My children knew they had to go but were still scared of society. My children personally greeted me, saying, "What would my life be like if you didn’t help me? Thank you, Mom.” But my heart still aches. I pray that the Lord will now be their Father and guide and that they will learn to adjust to society and depend on Him.
